An interesting vintage Edwardian postcard of the Bass Rock. The text reads " Bass Rock and Lighthouse, North Berwick".
This sepia photograph shows that there were considerably fewer gannets nesting there. Nowadays the
Bass Rock is one of the biggest gannet colonies in the world, and in the breeding season appears completely white.
